out five players The Philadelphia Eagles released their third and final official injury report on Wednesday in advance of their Week 6 Thursday Night Football game against the New York Giants. The Eagles ruled the following five players OUT: D.J. Alexander Womens Richard Rodgers Jersey , Nathan Gerry, Corey Graham, Haloti Ngata, and Darren Sproles.Alexander and Gerry being out hurts an Eagles special teams unit that hasn’t been great to begin with this season. It also thins Philly’s linebacker depth.Graham being out means the Eagles are down to just three healthy safeties on the 53-man roster: Malcolm Jenkins, Avonte Maddox Jordan Matthews Jersey , and Deiondre’ Hall. And Maddox isn’t even a real safety. He just started to play the position less than two weeks ago. Not ideal. Ngata’s absence means the Eagles are down to just Fletcher Cox, Destiny Vaeao, Treyvon Hester, and T.Y. McGill at defensive tackle. The Eagles just called Hester up from the practice squad last week while McGill was claimed via waivers on Monday. The Eagles can obviously have Michael Bennett and Brandon Graham play some interior defensive line snaps but boy are the Eagles thin at DT. Sproles hasn’t played since Week 1. Doug Pederson said “he’s close” to returning so maybe he has a chance to play in Week 7. We’ll see. In the meantime, the Eagles down to just Corey Clement (who is back this week) http://www.eagleslockerroom.com/authentic-avonte-maddox-jersey , Wendell Smallwood, and Josh Adams at running back with Jay Ajay going on injured reserve. Those three guys combined for 142 rushing yards on 32 carries (4.4 average) against the Colts in Week 3. Clement and Smallwood should see the bulk of the workload there with Adams sparingly working in. The good news is that no other players are listed on the final injury report. Starting tackles Jason Peters and Lane Johnson are good to go despite being limited in practice earlier this week. Sidney Jones is also set to play and so is Derek Barnett, who missed Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Barnett’s return gives a boost to Philly’s defensive line rotation as they take on a bad Giants offensive line.PHILADELPHIA EAGLES INJURY REPORT (WEDNESDAY)OUTLB D.J. There was some optimism that Engram might be able to return this week but that won’t be the case. That’s one offensive weapon the Eagles won’t have to worry about.Engram is the only injured Giants tight end this week. No. 2 option Rhett Ellison is questionable to play after failing to practice on Monday and then being limited on both Tuesday and Wednesday. Ellison ranks fourth on the Giants in receiving this year with 11 receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown. Giants pass rusher Olivier Vernon is set to make his season debut despite being limited in practice this week. He’ll test an Eagles offensive line that’s looked shaky in pass protection.Old friend Connor Barwin is expected to play despite not practicing on Tuesday. He was full go on Wednesday.Giants kicker Aldrick Rosas isn’t listed on the injury report, so it looks like he’ll play Womens Josh Sweat Jersey , but he was limited on Wednesday after sitting out on both Monday and Tuesday. Something to keep an eye on. Perhaps his range and/or accuracy will be affected. And I don’t think the reigning Super Bowl MVP is about to go out with a whimper. The feeling here is that we’re going to see Good Foles against the Buccaneers. This Tampa Bay defense — the one that allowed 40 points last week —is certainly vulnerable. The Buccaneers will be without both of their starting cornerbacks (Vernon Hargreaves and Brent Grimes) against the Eagles. In their place we’ll see rookie Carlton Davis and third-year player Ryan Smith. Both of those players can be had. This game presents a nice opportunity for Eagles wide receivers to come to life after only combining for a mere 43 yards in Week 1. Nelson Agholor should be able to create more YAC than he did last week. Mike Wallace is going to get some opportunities down the field. Having the extra time to prepare will hopefully help with him and Foles getting on the same page. The Eagles’ challenge won’t be putting up points against the Bucs. It’ll be preventing Tampa Bay from doing the same. DeSean Jackson is set to play in this game despite initial concern he might not be able to suit up. He’s obviously going to test the Eagles deep down the field. Mike Evans is also certainly capable of making big plays. We know that Ryan Fitzpatrick is not going to be afraid to take shots down the field. The Eagles can best neutralize the Bucs’ passing attack by making his life difficult. Philadelphia has the defensive line talent to beat Tampa’s offensive line and get pressure on him. It would be surprising if they can’t force Fitzpatrick into some sacks and/or bad throws. After getting an ugly win in Week 1, the Eagles should know they need to play much better this week against a Tampa team that upset the Saints last Sunday. Philadelphia will be hungry to move to 2-0. I feel good about their chances today....Suggested format:Score prediction:Bold prediction:My predictions:Score prediction: 33-25, Eagles win.Bold prediction: After being held without a catch in Week 1, Mike Wallace scores two touchdowns today.
