It was a forgettable night as the Eagles lost by a score of 27 to 10.OFFENSEFirst drive: Jordan Howard took the first carry for five yards. Not sure why he was even playing. Nate Sudfeld aired a pass out to JJ Arcega-Whiteside but it was just a little too far out in front.Second drive: Miles Sanders had a run for three yards and then another for minus one. Sudfeld hit Goedert over the middle for a chunk gain. Matt Pryor got flagged for illegal hands to the face on a play where Sudfeld threw behind an open Goedert. Another punt.Third drive: Sudfeld rolled out and hit Arcega-Whiteside for a first down; nice throw while on the move. Sudfeld went to Goedert for another first down. And then again. The drive stalled with Sudfeld taking a sack on third down. Fourth drive: Studfeld aired it out deep to Marken Michel and connected with the former CFL wide receiver for a 75-yard touchdown. I like how Studdy doesn’t play scared and is willing to sling it. Also, maybe Michel can really push for a sixth receiver spot? He had a good spring but hasn’t been as active in camp. Fifth drive: Pryor hit with a holding penalty after getting flagged earlier in the night; not great. Sudfeld made a nice third down throw to JJAW over the middle to move the chains; hung in the pocket and delivered a strike. The Eagles ended up having to punt. Andre Dillard was looking good but Jordan Mailata was ... not. Sixth drive: Sudfeld took over with 1:34 remaining in the second quarter. Two-minute drill. He completed passes to Joshua Perkins and Josh Adams to get to the 48-yard line. Then Josh Adams fumbled. Adams’ ball security issues are a problem.Seventh drive: Sudfeld got the ball back with less than a minute remaining. He got hurt on a late hit. Not ideal! It was Cody Kessler and NOT Clayton Thorson who came into the game as the Eagles had to settle for a 40-yard missed field goal.Eighth drive: Nothing going. Ninth drive: Pryor gets his third penalty of the night. C’mon, dude. Tenth drive: Clayton Thorson time! And the Eagles immediately hand off to Pumphrey twice. Thorson had Pumphrey WIDE OPEN in the flat on 3rd-and-1 and just missed him. He had a terrible miss in training camp like that, too. Just horrible. Thorson’s fourth down pass for Thompkins was dropped. Eleventh drive: Thorson had all day to throw, took forever to wind up, and overthrew his target en route to an interception by the defense. He just sucks.Twelfth drive: Thorson’s best pass of the night! A swing pass that went for no gain. He almost threw another interception but it was dropped. Thirteen drive: Thorson had all day to throw and threw nowhere near his intended receiver. Thorson had Michel wide open on 4th-and-1 and the threw was ... off target once again. Pitiful performance. DEFENSEFirst drive: Andrew Sendejo and Blake Countesss got the start at safety, which seems like a good sign for Countess making the team. Not a good sign for Tre Sullivan. Nathan Gerry Womens Harold Carmichael Jersey , Zach Brown, and L.J. Fort were the first team linebackers. Avonte Maddox had good coverage on a 3rd-and-7 to bring up 4th-and-7. Sendejo comes up with a pass breakup on fourth down. He’s already better than Corey Graham (cue nightmares of last year’s 4th-and-15 against the Titans). Second drive: Daeshon Hall got good pressure around the edge on third down to force the Titans into an incompletion.Third drive: Hall reached in to strip sack Ryan Tannehill but just missed it. Tre Sullivan missed two tackles as the Titans drove into the red zone, not great. He just plays out of control. Gerry got beat to allow a Titans touchdown. The coaching staff likes Gerry but I just don’t really see it with him.Fourth drive: Nothing interesting. Fifth drive: Josh Hawkins got roasted for a would-be touchdown if it hadn’t been for a poor Tannehill throw. L.J. Fort had a big hit on a completion over the middle and he got to the edge for a good run stop as well. Jonathan Cyprien broke up a pass to set up 3rd-and-9. Fort got beat in coverage for a touchdown but it may have been Cyprien at fault with no safety help there. Sixth drive: Shareef Miller got credited for a sack on third down and the Titans turned it over on downs on fourth down.Seventh drive: Hall strip-sacked the Titans but Tennessee recovered. Hall sure has been active tonight. Eight drive: Bruce Hector gets credited for a tackle as the Titans turned it over on downs.Ninth drive: Miller got flagged for a late hit on the quarterback. Hawkins got burned for a touchdown that counted this time; not a good night for the guy people remember from the Eagles’ playoff loss to the Saints.Eleventh drive: Jeremah McKinnon got beat on a touchdown throw this time.Twelfth drive: Nothing.SPECIAL TEAMSDonnel Pumphrey was back to take the first kickoff return. He inadvisably fielded it deep in the end zone for a 24-yard return but Josh Sweat got flagged for holding that brought it back to the 8-yard line. Pumphrey was also the first to handle punt returns. Pumphrey fumbled a kickoff return that was ultimately recovered by the Eagles. Cameron Johnston’s first punt went for 60 yards. In case you forgot the Aussie has a leg. Jake Elliott drilled a 53-yard field goal. He single-doinked a 40-yard attempt off the right upright. DeAndre Thompkins was the second guy to get a crack at returning kickoffs. His first return went for 28 yards.Treyvon Hester — who blocked Cody Parkey in Chicago — blocked another kick tonight! This time an extra point. Kick blocking specialist. At the start of the offseason, there was some speculation about whether the Eagles would cut wide receiver Nelson Agholor before they were on the hook for the $9.387 million salary they set him up to make this season by exercising the fifth-year option on his contract.Agholor didn’t get cut before that salary became guaranteed, but some teams reportedly believe there’s a chance Agholor will be playing for someone other than the Eagles in 2019.Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that teams view Agholor as a player that could be available in a trade. The thought is that the Eagles would look to shop Agholor if they draft another wideout at some point this week and the likeliest suitors in that scenario would probably be teams that missed out on receivers they were targeting in the draft.Agholor has 185 catches for 2,152 yards and 15 touchdowns since the Eagles took him in the first round of the 2015 draft.
