Consistency in process between the two locations meant, in Cooper’s words, that “we were able to put something on the table that we could see and feel and get a sense of proportion very quickly…and also produce something that we could put on our feet.” In that step, innate knowledge helped too. “We sampled in size 12 because Greg and I are size 12,” says Cooper. “So we didn't have to rely on other people's information and then translate that into decision-making. First was weightlessness, which the athletes described as “that floaty feeling you get when skiing fresh powder.” Runners in Southern California referenced wanting to replicate the feel they got on a surfboard, saying they said they wanted to “surf the pavement.” Thus, the latest Shox design is predicated equally on feeling and aesthetic. “I think in the past, we were too obsessed with the visual of four pucks as Shox. We now know that the experience is what is most important,” notes Nike Air Max 95 Femme Thompson. Cooper adds: “This Nike Air Max 95 Womens is closer to Bruce Kilgore's original desire and intent. We were able to go back to that leaf-spring design.”For Cooper, the silhouette also represents achievement as the “fastest design from athlete insight to athlete feet that Nike has ever done from a blank piece of paper.” And, not just in single form. Cooper and Farris delivered the project and Thompson helped form 25 different versions. These will kick off in early 2018 with the Shox Gravity, with additional colorways following shortly after.The Nike Hi-Vis Merlin is the new official 2019-20 Premier League winter match ball and is inspired by the first-ever Nike Total 90 Aerow Hi-Vis version, which made its inaugural Premier League appearance during the 2004-05 season. With the Hi-Vis football introduced to the Premier League 15 years ago, the Nike Air Max 90 Femme latest iteration of the Premier Nike Air Huarache Femme League Hi-Vis Merlin footballs pays homage to the iconic heritage of the Total 90 Aerow football with a “T90” logo featured on one of the panels. It marks the first time in the competition’s history that the Hi-Vis football will have a different design to the regular season Merlin. This season’s Hi-Vis Merlin will launch on pitch at Premier League fixtures on October 25 and is availble October 1 on nike.com. Additionally, a limited number of Hi-Vis Total 90 footballs will be reissued with the exact same detailing and specifications of the original, featuring 26-panel hand-stitched construction combined with texture flash casing. These replicas, which come in a commemorative box, will be available on nike.com on November 8 and will be numbered out of 600.
